The beginning...
Choosing the name YouGo Productions became an obvious choice. The company was formed in 2019, but the story began from my early childhood. The understanding and the importance of the phrase YouGo was not realised until much later in my life
After a great loss, I knew I had to find something and yet I did not realise that a simple phrase could be it
In 2017 I lost my mother. This sounds dramatic but true, and I had to search for something to save me. At the time, I felt that the main force behind me as a person was gone
Finding the connection
In the process of grief I had to find something to change the direction I was going in. I looked at the things I had in common with my mother and creativity was most definitely one of them
The artwork was about her and me, no one else. I wanted to be able to look at something in a glance, a moment or even forever and in each case get more and more from the artwork that I would create
My mother
I was able to talk to my mother about anything, she would always listen, we would discuss, sometimes quite excitedly, her input was so valued and then always, always she would say, ‘You Go Girl You Go’. Hence, YouGo Productions
None of my art could not have been created without my mother’s input and it is a connection between two people, it shows a love affair between Mother and Daughter
A mother's gift is to share
When seeing the reaction of people, I knew this could be shared because we all have someone or something in our lives that should be shown. I am able to create heirlooms that tell stories about you, about your family, and about your company. It is part of your journey My first ‘YouGo Productions’ creation now hangs in my studio
